The project began a week ago with a vote session to choose the revival of the Terra network. Now that the polls are closing, supporters of Terra 2.0 include the Terra Builders Association and Do Kwon.

It indicates that Terra may soon have two versions on the market. The first is Terra Classic, which is an established Terra integration that includes UST. The second is Terra 2.0, an upgraded Terra integration that does not include UST or other algorithmic stablecoins. This network’s native asset will be LUNA.

Terra 2.0 has also received backing from companies such as Nexus, Spectrum, Prism, Anchor, and Stader. With the initiative nearly certain to pass, the Astroport community is preparing as well. The company will soon have to redeploy its smart contract system on Terra 2.0.

Furthermore, the Astroport team will preserve compatibility with Terra Classic. It means that merchants from all throughout the ecosystem will be able to use the DEX on Terra Classic and Terra 2.0. The current Astroport integration will continue to function on Terra Classic until the network is operational. However, two future functioning networks will necessitate the use of two different sorts of governance tokens.

Terra Classic will earn fees and administer the network using ASTRO tokens. Similarly, additional ASTRO tokens will be issued for such Terra 2.0 functionalities. Both communities are thrilled about the development since it has the potential to increase Terra’s market value.
